💡 What is the PL Dev Guild?

How does the PL Dev Guild work?
- Individual contributors (ranging in skill levels) apply to join Dev Guild cohorts
- If selected, a contributor goes through a foundational curriculum to onboard onto OSS best practices and to specific projects in the Protocol Labs network
- Then, contributors get paired with mentors to accelerate their impact
- Throughout the program, contributors earn retrospective rewards (between $128-$2048 per month) for impactful contributions

Our global virtual cohorts allow participants to work on high-profile open source projects in a supportive, collaborative environment, connecting and working with peers from around the world. By participating, contributors receive FIL (Filecoin) rewards based on the value and impact of their contributions, address real-world challenges, and benefit from tailored resources, world-renowned open source experts, and top-tier technical mentorship.
PL Dev Guild has an initial allocation of 500,000 FIL from Protocol Labs to create lasting change for open source projects and contributors alike

✅ Eligibility
- Technical knowledge - e.g. open source dev, software engineer, project maintainer
- Passionate about open source
- Can contribute part-time for 6-12 weeks
- Can work around CET/EST or IST timezones
🧑✈️ Cohort 1 Info
- Application deadline: 20 September 2024
- Cohort 1 Start Date: 1 October 2024
- Commitment: ~10-15 hrs / week
- Length: Two 6 week phases. Must successfully complete first 6 weeks to be eligible for second 6 weeks.
- Phase 1: Oct 1- Nov 8th.
- Phase 2: Nov 10- Dec 22.
