Proposal to overhaul the IPFS website

Background

• The ipfs.tech website gets about 63k unique visitors a month (by comparison the blog gets 8k and the docs 75k).
• The IPFS website is the main entry point for everything related to IPFS

Overhaul themes & goals

The main theme of this overhaul is repositioning:

• IPFS as an actively developed community driven project
• IPFS as a protocol with multiple implementations
• IPFS as a production-ready protocol with a showcase of its various use-cases

Additionally:

• Improve the SEO of the IPFS

  • The page linked 👇 details some of the technical SEO problems we need to fix in the IPFS website

    IPFS SEO analysis & next steps

• Rethink and update the CTAs (calls to actions) based on different personas/jobs to be done
